New Music

What is “New Music”? New music exhibits novelty in its situation, presentation, compositional process, performance practice, or outcome. In some pieces, that novelty is dependent on or derived from the use of technology. CNMAT’s technological resources have supported the composition and performance of new music by composers at all stages of their careers, from UC Berkeley faculty and students to visiting artists from all over the world.
